Other details: |
Car came with both a hard top and black soft top. Interior was updated in the past but will be refreshed in 2011. Car has been repainted in the past but not to a high quality! Hard top fit issues have been noted and can not be used on the car at this time. Purchased a new hard top and it was fitted to car for tight fit. Complete pictures will be kept for restoration in progress. |

Car history: |
New owner 8-6-2010 (Denver Colorado) car is being repainted at this time BY Sunset Auto Body (1/16/2011) to professional grade finish as part of long term restoration project. Removal of up to 7 coats of old paint will be required on certain body panels and past body work will be redone to correct issues that past owners either repaired incorrectly or used to cover-up past damage. All panels and gaps are being restored to better then new condition. Restoration plans are to make this car a high level driver / show vehicle. All paint products will be DuPont Automotive finishes (Chroma Premier Products) that carry a lifetime finish warranty. I will be using Corvette Central, Zip and Corvette America for most of my needs to replace parts so original build quality is maintained or exceeded. When this car was purchased it was advertised as a restored car that had matching numbers, new paint, new interior all of which was not correct. Please contact me if you have any information about this car or its past owners. I have some questions that I would like to ask them.
Updated by unknown party: New owner 5/26/2007 (Highlands Ranch Colorado) no reported repair or restoration work has been done. Minor work to distributor, wires, tune-up and misc. repair items were performed by Dreamworks Performance. Present owner is listing car saying that it was restored and repainted with a new interior but has no records to show that any work was done. At least one potential buyer had an inspection done and reported repair / restoration issues to owner that were not corrected or removed in sellers advertisements. Seller advertised this car until sold while still stating that it was restored but was told otherwise on 11/07/09. Seller is not sharing real issues or damage with potential buyers. Due to cars age buyers cannot look this information up on Carfax or other consumer information warning sites. |
